As previously announced, the 2018 Bob Clampett Humanitarian Award was given to Seattle-based non-profit organization Comics4Kids, and Frederick Joseph, and Joye Murchison Kelly and Dorothy Woolfolk were the recipients the 2018 Bill Finger Award. This year’s Hall of Fame inductees were Jackie Ormes and Carol Kalish, Addams Family creator Charles Addams, Karen Berger, Dave Gibbons, and mangaka Rumiko Takahashi. Emil Ferris also won three Eisners for her debut graphic novel “My Favorite Thing is Monsters.”



“Monstress” emerged as the big winner of the evening, with writer Marjorie Liu and artist Sana Takeda winning five awards for the Image Comics series, although Liu tied with Tom King for the Best Writer Award. The 30th annual Eisner Awards, the most prestigious awards in the American comic book industry, were held last night at San Diego Comic Con.
